Vise President Resigns
HOA Vice President Rick Manning submitted his resignation to the Board during the Board Executive meeting on March 26, 2026. He cited “personal reasons” as the reason for his resignation. Manning has been a dedicated member of the HOA for many years and will be greatly missed. The current Board will be responsible for appointing his replacement. Interested members should contact a Board member.
Rick Manning and the HOA
Shortly after Rick Manning purchased his unit in 2022, he attended his first HOA meeting to discuss some safety issues. He was then asked by the current board to join the Safety Committee, which he later became Chairman of.
Opening on the Board
After two vacancies opened up for the Board in 2023, he was then asked to volunteer to join the Board, where he was assigned as Vice President. When a new Board was elected in 2024, the new Board assigned him as President. Rick ran again and was elected for the 2025 Board and was was assigned Vice President. He has remained Vice President till he resigned in March of 2026.
Accomplishments
During his tenure, Rick Manning accomplished the following:
- Rick instigated the purchase and supervised the installation of a security cameras system, which he operated till his resignation.
- Rick initiated grinding down the concrete walkways, which had become trip hazards. This also included some bridge repairs.
- Rick led fence repairs and painting around the property.
- As Vice President, Rick initiated the purchase of the new pool-fob security system, which was successfully implemented during his final year in office.
- Rick Manning took it upon himself to update signs that needed replacement around the property.
- Rick helped the Architectural Committee conduct the Mixet Valve survey.
- Rick installed chain fencing on the block wall at the basketball court to prevent it from being used as a soccer backdrop. This measure eliminated balls from entering the yards of nearby residents.■
Editor Note: The HOA members do not vote for a candidate for a specific Board position. When a new Board is elected and an organization meeting is held. The membership of the Board decides who will be assigned each position. An organization meeting is required each time a new Board is elected or a new member is appointed. |
