TEA PARTY 2017
TEA PARTY and COOKIE EXCHANGE
A “Tea Party and Holiday Cookie Exchange” was held Saturday on December 16 from 11AM to 3PM in the Cabana Clubhouse. Twenty two persons were in attendance. Shawn Gerritsen, her husband David and her daughter Megan Weissmann hosted the even and provided decoraions and refreshments.

Visiting Your Neighbors
Everyone enjoyed visiting, meeting neighbors and savored lovely cups of tea and several donated refreshments. More than 10 person participated in the cookie exchange. Small holiday gifts donated by hosts were received by all.
Resfreshment Donations
Board member Teri Piper-Johnson and her husband Nick donated a plate of avocado deviled eggs. Cynthia Lee donated a plate of egg salad sandwiches. Barbara Manuel brought a bowl of fresh cut fruit. The hosts provided chocolate Bundt cake, baked goods and a large variety of the teas for everyone.
Landscaping Committee Donations
Board member Teri Piper-Johnson set up a table to collect donations for the Harbour Vista Landscaping Committee in exchanges for some cooksbooks from her former catering business.
Background
This is the second tea parties that Shawn Gerritsen has hosted for Harbour Vista since she she became a resident three years ago.  The first one was in spring for “The Ladies of 16542 Blackbeard Lane” which was held at a tea salon in Seal Beach. For this one, she decided open up the event for all the residents and members of Harbour Vista by renting the Cabana Clubhouse. ■
