Landscape Committee
Purpose
- Review, evaluate, and submit recommendations regarding the grounds.
- Recommend solutions to any existing problems that the landscape committee or
landscape contractor identify.
Goals and Objectives
- To keep the property in good condition with attractive landscaping, while adhering to the City of Huntington Beach regulations concerning plant materials and water restrictions.
Responsibilities
- Attend monthly walk-thru with the Landscape Company, Management Company, and HV HOA board member in charge of the committee.
- Have non-mandatory meetings to discuss problems and solutions.
- Research appropriate plant materials and irrigation solutions and advise the Board on the research findings.
- The committee does not have decision-making authority in regards to expenditure of funds or contracts.
- The committee does not have authority to direct any staff employed by the landscape company.
- The committee has the responsibility to report any concerns or misconduct regarding the staff employed by the landscape company. Any such incidents are to be reported to the Management Company or the Board of Directors.
Term of Committee
- Committee members shall serve for a one (1) year term unless otherwise specified.
- The Board of Directors selects the committee members and the chairperson.
- Committee members including the chairperson may be removed at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
Size of Committee
- The committee shall be comprised of no more than five (5) members nor less than three (3) members.
